Groups of year 8 children from 6 local schools had the opportunity to pilot a Deep Sea Robot using our exciting &lt;a href="http://www.marinesimulation.com/"&gt;Marine Simulation ROVsim™&lt;/a&gt; simulator over the two-day event, held at the Pure nightclub at the Printworks in the heart of Manchester city centre.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Rob Curry, SERPENT outeach co-ordinator and Hanna Shuster, SERPENT PhD student had a great time meeting and talking with the enthusiastic children and taking them through their paces on the simulator.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Best quote of the event? They can't keep away and keep coming back for seconds! This event rocks! For three days at the beginning of June, SERPENT presented at the exciting and bustling Discovery Zone.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;Patient queues of children (along with some adults!) were rewarded with an opportunity to pilot a deep sea ROV using the SERPENT ROVsim® simulator designed by &lt;a href="http://www.serpentproject.com/parts_marinesim.php"&gt;Marine Simulation LLC™&lt;/a&gt;. What they found surprised them. It was a thaliacean graveyard.
